My retirement spot

Don't scream and say why so early. But I just had to plan my retirement abode. And when we found this land in Ooty, we rushed past the many years ( hopefully we have ) and bought this little paradise in the blue hills. Laden with tea and herbs, skirted by sleepy lakes that are filled with rainbow trouts, now named Nani's Nook ( after my mom and grand mom who are both old Ootians ), this 3 acre land now looks forward to ideas from you guys for a perfect get away home where perhaps we can all meet and enjoy. So if any of you can help with a link or design sketch or some ideas on how to make a perfect home here..... please please send this me ... thanks ......

Dipu, totally stunning. Our family used to visit Conoor evry year for 2 weeks during the summer and I love Ooty. A beautiful log cabin like home with a large 'great room' where it is an open plan with a kitchen, family room, dining room with wall to celing windows all around and a great big fire place - Ok I am salivating now!Definitely will visit! Thanks for sharing, Rohini

it would be wonderful for all of us to retire close by.... and nothing like the hills to lie back and enjoy our selves sipping on vodkas at night and niligiri tea in the mornings ( laced ofcourse ). i promise to have a tee off green for the old men folk and a couple of horses for them to wander close to cliff edges with...tennis for the sprighty, ( british style , mind you ) and a retinue of assistants waiting hand and foot on us.... spoiling us rotten on local grown strawberries for breakfast topped with whipped cream a la the cows that wander in the nearby pastures.Retirement life has to be alot of fun .....and thats what i plan to do in this little abode.... get every one togehter and have a blast. Hey incase you guys are interested in land in the hills too....let me know , shall check up and reserve some spots for you too.

Go to www.hgtv.com (home and garden television). You can search for log cabins/great rooms or any other designs. There are a lot of web sites that will give you great ideas. I"ll try to find a few and send them to you.
Will keep a lookout.
Again thanks for the invitation.
