yay; esther made a post

Notwithstanding Ujwala's gripe about not remembering ANNYTHING , she is patient, sweet and caring and persevering. 5 years ago she laboured thhrough teaching me me how to use WinMX and today she taught me how to post this blog. Smooch, Ujwala.

Life moves along and its been 25 years since my first hesitant steps into LMC- Red suitcase and all.
Today I look at my kids school badges...100% A grade virgin perspex and I compare them to the lovely metal ones we had... things of substance, built to last. Like us. I look at the brown paper used to cover their books. For some reason they've "improved" the perfectly good brown paper we used to have and added a thin coating of clingwrap to it. Blooming useless, I say, because the covers still look cruddy after a term. Then there's the shift to gel pens ( plastic disposable refills ). I kind of miss the inky fingers and the blue- stained uniforms.

Thanks Pia for giving us something to read. For all of you that still get the time... do try "The legend of Seabiscuit" by Lauren Hillenbrand ( i think ). Don't roll your eyes like I did. Believe me, I'm the first one with no patience to complete a book if it doesn't grip me in the first 20 pages. This book is inspiring and makes wonderful reading. DON'T watch the movie. Read the book

Love and hugs
Esther

Lunch at Vinita Chand's

We had lunch with Vinita yesterday. Her home is beautifully done up. I especially loved all the greenery. Now that we have met each other a few times the sessions are getting noisier. Good fun though. We even got to meet Vinita's daughter Shimone (sp?) who is a cutie. She wanted to eat only the lamb chops. Sounded just like quite a few of you did when you were growing up. :D

I'm sure the rest of you are meeting up too. How about some snaps??

Abha dropped by a short while ago and while talking I discovered that she had not seen most of the photographs put up. I hope you guys are clicking on the header of each post. This one will take you to a page which will have 4 other snaps.

School Picts - wish I had taken more...

We've been out on a holiday for the last two weeks and we leave again tomorrow morning for another 5 days. Maid has ditched, have spent the morning washing clothes!! All these excuses for keeping this short. Went for a morning walk, in Kol, with Ramesh. Decided to sneak into school to take a couple of photos. Bumped into Mrs Ganges and Mrs Sengupta. Really nice to see them again. They were busy with rehearsals for Junior School Sports Day. So just took a couple of picts and ran :P. Click on the header to see the rest of the picture or click here.
